Our aim
TechnoCul aims for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Accessibility is part of how we design and build, not an afterthought, and we apply the same approach to the software we build for clients.
What we have done
- Pages use a clear heading structure and landmarks, so screen reader users can move around quickly.
- Everything can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link.
- Text and interface colours are chosen for strong contrast, in both the light and dark themes, and you can switch theme at any time.
- Text can be enlarged and pages reflow on small screens without losing content.
- Form fields have visible labels, and error messages explain what went wrong.
- Animation is minimal, and it is switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology, and meaningful images have text alternatives.
How we checked
We tested the main pages of the website in both themes using automated accessibility checks and by navigating with the keyboard alone. Automated tools find only some problems, so this is not a guarantee that every barrier has been removed.
Known limitations
We are not currently aware of any significant barriers. Some content that we do not control, such as external websites we link to, may not meet the same standard.
Tell us about a problem
If you find something on this website hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please tell us at info@technocul.ie or on (087) 463 5062. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and, if you are happy to, the device or assistive technology you were using. We will do our best to fix the problem or provide the information another way.
